We all know that yoga is good for the body, mind, and spirit, and that it’s never too late to begin your own personal practice. When your kids need a moment to center themselves, help them with these three easy moves.
AVOID THE TANTRUM. Tell your tot to lie on her back with her hands and feet in the air. Then let her bicycle her arms and legs while breathing out saying ha, ha, ha. Before long she’ll be giggling and rolling around.
PRE-BED RELAXATION. Tell your little one to lie on her back with their legs up against the wall. Put a stuffed animal or toy on her belly and tell them to breathe in and out slowly to the count of 5. Repeat until she’s relaxed.
ANTS IN THE PANTS. Ask your imp to stand up against a wall with feet shoulder width apart and arms at her side. Now raise her right leg and touch it to the inside of her left thigh. When she has found her balance on one leg, have her raise her hands above her head palms together. Count to ten and then have her switch legs.
